Taking risks with Tig Notaro.
Oh yeah, don’t want to say it but I’m gonna, bout time for dis one.
I went and watched the Tig on Conan video, and the next video played was a homeless guy onstage at ACME. I looked at the description and realized it was Kyle Kinane. I kinda felt stupid. But c’mon Kyle, what do you not have? a razor or a mirror?
Knowing that Never Not Funny is there for me and legions of faithful listeners to offer us comfort in 2012 is like having Jesus as my personal life-coach. Awesome.
Together out together out together out together out!
Hey Dan.
I am in love with “together out” and “how do cars get made” so let’s do the t-shirt thing?
I might be the only one, but I love the idea of an album called “Tig Old Bitties!” I also loved the idea of “Notarious T.I.G.”, but I get that Margaret Cho kinda cockblocked that one.
I’d never heard of Tig before; she’s so beautiful! I loved her risky Conan set, too. I’m liking this season; it seems more comfortable than the last one.
“You are a burrito.” Put that in the season 11 opening.
Conan said “No-Tear-Oh” in his intro and then corrected himself after Tig was done. I suspect Paul F. gave him a heads-up in the middle of her set. Great episode so far, fellas!
Matt Belknap is the guest on the new episode of Comedy Film Nerds.

I love during Tig’s set on Conan when she turns around and waves at Richter, Paul F, and Conan. PFT’s expression cracks me up. He is clearly loving every second of it. I do too.
Fantastic episode and Tig is a great guest that should back soon.
my first time ever hearing of Tig and I was extremely impressed with her. What I love about NNF is the chance to be introduced to different people I might not have other wise known about.Loved her set on Conan and the only other person I’ve seen work a stool like that is Jimmy during his live shows when he turns it in to a record player. S10 is going strong.
Wow. What a delight. Didn’t think it would be… The only other time I had heard Tig was last year when she was on Bob & Tom for the first (and probanly only) time. Totally bombed. Glad I gave another listen. She is very funny and a great foil for Jimmy! Plus, loved the stool bit on Conan. Well done!
Big ol’ show notes!

@PS: You should listen to the season 4 Writers Room bounus episode if you are able, Tig Does a great set.
Never liked tig. I find her boring and not funny. Easily my least favorite podcast guest ever. I always delete her episodes of jjgo and the pardcast while I keep all the rest.
I haven’t been to Ford City Mall since I stopped collecting pewter figurines.
Great ep!
“Together, Out” appeared in my dream over the weekend. Perhaps I’ve been Pardcasting too hard lately?
Great episode! Absolutely LOVED Tig
How did it take so long for this episode with TIG to happen?! There were numerous times I had to hide my face on the subway in fits of laughter. Thanks for another splendid time! MORE TIG, MORE TIG, MORE TIG, MORE TIG (that’s my “Together, Out”)
Loved the episode, loved Tig – “You are a Burrito!!!”
Can’t wait to see ‘Out together’ on next seasons intro.
“Smokin’ O.P.’s” is “Other People’s” cigarettes traditionally, but the Seger album (whose cover was styled after the Lucky Strike pack) referred to “Smokin’ Other People’s” songs, as it was a cover album (he even covered–and smoked!–one of his own songs).
The more you know.
I live in Kansas City MO, but last week while driving home, saw a sign for a new restaurant in my neighborhood, Cafe Gratitude. Checked out the website and its totally the same thing as Tig was talking about.
So Everyday I can say “You are a burrito” and laugh. Great Episode and Guest.
