Rocking solidly with Pat Francis.
Rocking solidly with Pat Francis.
What a joy for us Patheads!
Love it. Haven’t even listened to it yet and I love everything about it.
Pat might like to know that his love of The Kinks, as mentioned in past episodes, led me to check them out on a deeper level and their album “Arthur (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire)” is now one of my favorites of all-time. Thank you, Mr. Francis.
It’s Fat Prancis…..YAY!!!!!!
I love the Rickle’s Tweet thing…I couldn’t stop laughing every time someone said it!
“When she come home from church
She gotta take off her pants
That’s what I like about Amy Grant”
Thomas T… that is a great tune!
It’s been nice to have the new guests this season, but it’s really great to have an old (and I do mean OLD) favorite back.
The Landlord is back!
Hey Pat, maybe that could be a future RS episode. Songs about other bands or artists.
Good Sarah Jessica Parker movie. Flight of the Navigator.
Rocking Solid, you know, the premier podcast about rocking chairs?
Hey look! It’s Never Not Notes!
OK, i just gotta say: I *love* Dire Straits. Particularly Making Movies, Communique, and Love Over Gold (plus the double live album Alchemy). But Knopfler’s gotten really good in his solo stuff – i think Jimmy would like it (start with “Sailing to Philadelphia” and “Shangri-La” ).
Then catch him live next time he’s in LA. He puts on a great show, even though his hands have slowed a little since his motorcycle accident. He’ll give Lindsay Buckingham a run for his money…
whoops, got so deep in the “recommend” diversion, i forgot my point.
I *hope* you guys haven’t doomed Mark Knopfler. If he dies, i will only *begrudgingly* renew my subscription!
Great ep, can’t wait until the pardcast-A-thon. Ohh and if Matt or Pardo gets a iPhone 4s you gotta try and replace Dan with Siri, see who’s faster!
Love Pat. Pat episodes are always gold.
I will join my bud Justin in promoting the #RicklesTweet Twitter hashtag. Truthfully, many of my tweets should have this without me intentionally writing them for that purpose, but that’s another story.
Loved the episode, Pat is a favorite of course. Love Rock Solid even as a non-music guy, Pat and Gary put on a great show.
One of the Worst things I did to my Dad as a kid.
I turned the Blender on while his hand was in the garbage disposal.
Still feel guilty about it.
Good thing his hand wasn’t in the blender.
…or his heart.
(Eve 6 bad luck omen!)
So the tag line for the radio station was “We’re the come spot on your dial” and it was a great station, played some great progressive rock in it’s day but sadly it is gone. And now we have 107.7 The Bone! Yeah, you can just imagine all the tag lines for that one!! We’re San Francisco – what can I say??
Stephanie Sandwich had a lesbian affair wih Mama Cass Elliot! That exchange had me rolling.
While I enjoy #Ricklestweet, Ruth Buzzi is tweeting now, and just as funny. #Buzzitweet
In honor of Pat Francis week, I went back a couple years and did show notes for the infamous microphone-throwing episode of Never Not Funny, episode 523. Hit the deck! And check it out here:
Ohh very much thanks admin.
