Loving the episode, quick question… Where’s Patty McFranFran? He’s only been on one episode this season so far. Just wondering, not complaining.

Great show, except when they started talking about Chaz Bono. They really shouldn’t be saying “she” and “her” a million times when they’re talking about a transman. I know it’s not meant to be insulting, but it comes off as kind of ignorant. It’s as incorrect as continuously referring to Jimmy or Matt as “Miss” and meaning it. Not necessarily insulting in itself, but speaks to the lack of understanding society has of the trans* community.

If you really want to know what that other parent does for living, just invite Maria Bamford to the next shindig. She’s already proven herself.

Another great episode. I think Cajun Jimmy’s last name should be Pardeaux, has a nice Cajun ring to it.

Oh, also, she gave the most amazing performance. I had high expectations, but she blew me away, so much subtle and heartbreaking character development. Sally in Follies is a TOTALLY different character from her tour-de-force as Desiree in Little Night Music just last year. She can do anything. And she spends every moment she isn’t working in theatre working for charities, including her own animal charity Broadway Barks. And people I know who have worked with her say she is truly, genuinely nice, super smart, and a total pro.
Uh, wow. I’m going to shut up now.

this is way too late, but for what it’s worth, i recently read roger ebert’s memoirs “life itself,” and he tells almost the same exact “bones and feathers” story that john ross bowie tells about don johnson, except ebert tells it about lee marvin on the set of “paint your wagon.” don’t know if bowie or ebert got it mixed up or if it’s just a hollywood stock story. either way a great tale. makes me interested to figure out who it’s really about though.
