wow! quick work (and I didn’t have any problems with the DL this week). /still way behind on NNF #607 though.
January 13th, 2010 at 1:58 pm
I’m embarassed by the noise I made when I saw Rich was the guest. I don’t know if a similar squeal has ever been made.
I was about go to pick up a prescription, but zoloft can wait for this to download!

2 Additional Things:
My download went super quick
When is Michael Gladis going to join the crossover Mad Men NNF gang?
January 13th, 2010 at 2:15 pm
Oh Dickie Sommer, you do bring some funny. Was a long time fan of rich’s blog as well until the unholy winged beast of Twitter claimed another soul.
January 13th, 2010 at 2:32 pm
Looking forward to checking out the episode tonight or tomorrow.
Based on the usual NNF schedule, I’m presuming that this episode was recorded *before* the Tonight Show news broke. Of course, given how careful and circumspect Jimmy tends to be about this sort of thing, I somehow doubt we’ll get *any* discussion about the situation until after the whole thing is resolved. I’d still love to hear some insider reports about the “behind the scenes” reactions to this craziness at the Tonight Show set and offices, though … anyone know where I could dig something like that up, since our host can’t reasonably be asked to provide it?
January 13th, 2010 at 2:42 pm
Rich Sommer, sounds good.
About last week’s show saying that college students don’t like your stuff: I am a seventeen years old and I would LOVE to see you Live Mr. Pardo! Please feel free to do a show at Cornell.
January 13th, 2010 at 3:09 pm
There is no way “explain to me Pat Francis” isn’t getting into the intro next season.
Great episode. I’ve still got about 30 minutes left, but the first hour is freaking fantastic. I want to hear Rich sing “Tradition”!
January 13th, 2010 at 3:10 pm
I’ve been anxiously awaiting this since Rich Tweeted (Twittered? Twatted?) about it earlier this week. Now I’m at work, and have to wait until I get home! Oh will my agony never end?!
Yeah, I have a pretty tough life if this is my biggest problem.
January 13th, 2010 at 4:14 pm
Nate, I am deducing this one was taped on Jan 4, since that was Dave Foley’s birthday.
Best detective in the thread.

Brilliant, BTW Pardo Just Saw You On Tosh.0, Good Sarcastic Role, Became Rejuvenated Since I’m Under The Weather
January 14th, 2010 at 8:08 am
Which episode of Tosh.0 was jimmy on?
January 14th, 2010 at 10:21 am
Just saw Jimmy on Tosh.0 as well last night. Glad the Hot Sandwich line got a good laugh. I scared my wife by yelling into the other room that Jimmy Pardo is on TV. I got so excited, like it was a friend of mine…..But congrats and you looked sharp. Hope to see you more often and maybe Tosh could become a NNF regular perhaps?
January 14th, 2010 at 10:52 am
I had a heart attack for the minute or so there when I thought Mr. Pardo was actually listening to Mastodon. WHITE! WHALE! HOLY! GRAIL!
January 14th, 2010 at 5:23 pm
Yes I doubt the Tonight Show situation will be addressed, maybe ‘deftly’ in the next episode, Mr. Pardo seems to be a very tactful person. In fact, I’ve been putting off subscribing to season 6 UNTIL the Tonight show news broke, and alas, I won’t be getting any insider info on the situation. Definitely will watch Tonight show tonight tho…..

Anyone else having trouble getting the video to d/l in Itunes? I get “”Never Not Funny Primo Video - Season 6″ does not seem to be a valid Podcast URL.”
Is the 9th hour of the Podcast-O-Thon going to get posted to Itunes? I have hours 1-8 but 9 has never been added yet.
January 14th, 2010 at 6:11 pm
@Chuck- My Itunes is showing the same now also. Matt said that he hoped the video would be up today but it looks like they are still having server problems. Also, there will be hour 9 but I think Matt said that they are working on the server issue first before they try to put it out.

All this Tonight Show talk has distracted us from the truly important unanswered question: did Oliver make snowguy?
January 14th, 2010 at 8:00 pm
I think it’s funny that Matt was so disapproving of that episode of The Office because he thought the story line was just too improbable … nearly the exact same story has really happened more than once. In the second story, there’s even a hapless local businessman who got in way over his head and never really had the money to back up his promises. I’m not saying it was a good episode of the show, I didn’t even see it, I’m just saying it shouldn’t that hard to believe.
And you get 70 mile per hour speed limits in rural areas all over the country these days, not just in the Midwest … I run into them down in Tennessee and North Carolina all the time.
January 14th, 2010 at 8:02 pm
Oops, the “more” above was supposed to be linked to this.

Rich, I do the sighing thing too. It’s nice to know it’s not just me that like breathing.

January 15th, 2010 at 8:02 am
“Why you breathin’ so hard?”
“So I can LIVE!!!!”
(Lavell Crawford)
I sigh without noticing, but I usually realize I’m doing it to de-stress. If I happen to do it when someone is talking to me, then, yeah, they don’t take it so well.
January 15th, 2010 at 9:57 am
I will say, I did a bit of a take when Jimmy said 70 as well. I live in Massachusetts, and yeah, I think I’ve maybe seen a sign once that said 70 mph, and thought it outside the norm. Also, being from Massachusetts I can tell you that cops ticket here at a flat rate for the first 10 mph over the speed limit, then increase the fine by ten bucks for every mph over 10 mph over, meaning it’s not really worth it to get someone for going anything under ten mph above the speed limit. I can see the rational for a speed trap, but yeah. Basically, I’m defending Matt here. Take it as you will.
January 15th, 2010 at 12:56 pm
Thank you Kenny! I got two of my first three tickets in MA, all within the first year of getting my license. So that’s where I’m coming from too.
January 15th, 2010 at 1:29 pm
Video is now downloading. Looks like it will take awhile but it is so worth it. We still don’t have 610 right? Just want to make sure that it isn’t something on my end.
January 15th, 2010 at 3:19 pm
I want to hear Andrew again
January 15th, 2010 at 6:14 pm
Jimmy,
I know you won’t tell us. But I am dying to hear your take on the new late night wars. I just read about Conan’s payout and the whole time thought, what does this mean for Pardo? (Actually, I thought “SeƱor Pardo.” I show respect.)
January 15th, 2010 at 8:04 pm
Uh oh. Dore mentioned Teddy Pendergrass a few episodes ago. The NNF curse strikes again.
January 16th, 2010 at 2:25 am
I know, Mariano. I don’t want Jimmy to be out of a job now and have to go on the dreaded Road again. That means less Oliver time and less cute Oliver stories! No!!!
January 16th, 2010 at 8:47 am
As much as we want to know about the Tonight Show situation, I opt that Jimmy should refrain from addressing it. He may or may not be in a stressful situation but this is a private matter where this should only be between his employer and his family. I know cause I have a slightly similar situation at home.
“Explain to me Pat Francis” should be the intro for all yall preparing the audio for the next season.
How is Daniel Tosh in real life Jimmy? Legit Funny Guy or like “Tall Idiot Who Shall Not Be Named”?
65 MPH is usually within City or Metroplex areas speed limits. Here in Texas outside those areas thats where it usually reaches 70 unless approaching a city of only 254 people and it goes down to 55 MPH. There is a buffer of around 6 MPH here unless you drive in Rhome,TX then it’s a buffer of .01 MPH, Very Strict
January 16th, 2010 at 11:00 am
Clamoring to hear from Mr. Pardo.
January 16th, 2010 at 7:39 pm
Darryl - As the NNF historian, have any reports come rolling in from the sketchfest? Any Tonight Show talk?
January 16th, 2010 at 8:19 pm
Alas, I have no special access, Zaner. Besides updates from facebook friends that NNF(with guest Dave Foley) at Sketchfest rocked, I know nothing! I assume Jimmy will be as forthcoming with what’s up as he has been with everything else.
Oh, and for anyone who hasn’t seen it, Pat posted this short video he shot as they arrived:

NNF Live at Sketchfest lived up to its name. They had us rolling with laughter from beginning to end. Jimmy never went into an explaination about what is happening on The Tonight Show at the Live taping or the first Game Show Explosion but it was joked about now and then. Kind of in the same line as what Conan has been doing. Andy Richter joked that in a week he won’t be able to get out of bed because of the depression.
January 18th, 2010 at 4:08 pm
Hey, I am not weird and I love WIcked! I am also not 13.
January 18th, 2010 at 5:29 pm
I’m currently going to school from Criminal Justice and I can confirmed that police officers are told if its between 5-10 mph over they shouldn’t pull you over unless they are doing speed traps. They would rather not disrupt traffic for such a small violation. But the not seeing 70 mph must just be a Mass. thing, I go on a road daily thats 70 mph. So Matt gets one point of defense from me!
January 22nd, 2010 at 9:54 pm
Just a quick nothing reference from this week that no one probably cares about but i think we get all of this enjoyment for something like a penny a minute. Best $1.50 of my week, every week!
